FAQ — Duna Player

Duna Player is a media player application for Samsung Tizen Smart TVs, Android TV and Android phones/tablets. It plays live TV, movies and series provided by your own IPTV service provider. The app itself contains no channels, no movies and no streams of any kind — it only connects to the server account you sign in with.

No. Duna Player contains zero content. You need an account from a licensed IPTV service provider (they will give you a server URL, username and password). All content is streamed directly from that provider to your device; we neither host nor distribute any media.

From your own service provider or seller — the same place you would get credentials for any Xtream-compatible player. We do not sell subscriptions and cannot provide access codes. If you found Duna Player through a reseller, contact them directly for account questions.

Samsung Smart TVs running Tizen 2.3 or newer (2015+ models), Android TV devices and boxes (Android 5.0+), and Android phones/tablets. LG webOS support is in development. The TV interface is fully remote-controlled — no mouse or keyboard needed.

Download the .wgt package, enable Developer Mode on the TV (Apps panel → enter 12345), connect from your computer with sdb and install — about one minute, step-by-step in our Install on Samsung TV guide.

Check three things: (1) the server URL is complete, including http:// and the port, e.g. http://example.com:8080; (2) username and password are exactly as provided — they are case-sensitive and contain no extra spaces; (3) your subscription is active. If all look right, test the same credentials in a browser: open <server>/player_api.php?username=X&password=Y — you should see "auth":1. If you see "auth":0, contact your provider.

No viewing data. The app stores your login locally on your device and talks only to your provider's server. See our Privacy Policy for the only anonymous technical data (app version, device model) used to keep the software working.

Any provider that gives you Xtream Codes-style credentials (server URL + username + password). Live TV, EPG, movies and series are all supported, including large catalogues — the app loads categories on demand so slow servers won't freeze your TV.
